On November 2 in Pella, Many Hands for Haiti will be opening a 4-month pop-up store called Many Hands Thrift Outlet. The store is an extension of the Many Hands Thrift Market in Grimes, IA, and will replace the Mango Tree in Pella in November, December, January, and February.
“With the winter months approaching, it makes sense to transform the Mango Tree into a high quality pop-up thrift store.” said Tim Brand, Executive Leader of Many Hands for Haiti.
“We hope to bring some of the unique Many Hands Thrift Market experience to shoppers in Pella and the surrounding areas. We are planning to offer some of our best merchandise for great prices. Everyone who shops at the store will be sure to find a great deal.“
The Many Hands Thrift Market in Grimes
The Many Hands Thrift Outlet will be selling donated, high-quality, second hand goods including women’s and children’s clothing, home décor, jewelry, purses, and toys. They will also be selling handmade Haitian products including metal art, jewelry and coffee imported directly from Haiti.
The store will continue to provide the opportunity for people to participate in local and global missions through volunteering and shopping, with all profits helping to support missions work done by Many Hands for Haiti. Ken Landgrebe, store manager, is very excited about the pop-up store.
“Our new thrift store in Grimes has been an amazing blessing, so we are ready to share the Thrift Market experience with our local supporters in Pella. This store will allow people to purchase some great second hand items, with 100% of profits supporting amazing missions work. Also, volunteers who work in our store can continue to use their hours as credit for trips to Haiti. People come back from these trips changed and encouraged to serve their communities in big ways,” explained Landgrebe.
People will have until Sunday the 23rd October to get their last frozen yogurt of the year, with the Mango Tree Pella running a $5 stuff your cup deal until doors close. The store will be closing its doors on October the 24th for the buildout of the pop-up thrift outlet.
The Many Hands Thrift Outlet will not be accepting donations of used items. The store encourages those who have donations of used items to continue to donate to the other worthy thrift stores in Pella. The opening date is set for November 2nd. Store hours will be Monday – Saturday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
The store will need more volunteers to help. If interested in volunteering, please send an email to volunteer@mh4h.org. To keep up with the latest news, you can follow the Many Hands Thrift Outlet on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ManyHandsThriftOutlet or visit www.manyhandshrift.com.
